The Free Legal Clinic has served over 1,000 people through our outreach, intake and direct legal service programs. Our clients are diverse representing numerous ages and cultural backgrounds many of whom are in transition. 2016-Eve Schatz, Esq. Founder and Executive Director is honored by Berkshire Magazine as one 25 individuals in our community making a positive contribution in the direction of social change with a new definition of law firm.

BCJ is included among the esteemed service providers listed with “211,” a United Way sponsored state wide resource of essential services.

In May 2007, Founder and Executive Director, Eve Schatz is an honored recipient of Great Barrington’s Unsung Heroine Award and received citations from Governor Patrick, The Massachusetts Senate, House of Representatives, and the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women for her work founding BCJ.
